Distinguished and Famous people from Edenhope
π Johnny Mullagh
Johnny Mullagh was a leading player in the Aboriginal cricket team whose preparation included coaching by Tom Wills near Lake Wallace at Edenhope in 1866. That teamβs development preceded the historic Australian tour of England in 1868, when Charles Lawrence was captain and coach. Mullaghβs ability as an all-rounder made him one of its outstanding performers. His wider life is strongly associated with the Harrow district, while Edenhope preserves the training-ground connection through the memorial beside Lake Wallace and the regional Aboriginal Cricket Trail.
